Organisational development, lifelong learning, individual competence & competence provision for employers
Organizational development, Lifelong learning, Individual competence and Skills supply for Employers (OLIKA) - is about developing an innovative educational model for work-integrated lifelong learning (AIL) in higher education.
The project is based on two strategically important initiatives at Mid Sweden University. One is the establishment of a four-year Master of Business Administration program (MBA) from the autumn of 2022. The other initiative - Vinnovaprojektet BUFFL, which stands for Industry Development at Banking and Insurance Companies through Flexibelt Lifelong Learning - developed an educational model for flexible short university courses at the advanced level for specialists.
The initiatives show MiUN's intentions to contribute to professional development for working individuals as well as to organizational development. There is also an ambition to educate economists with a strong working life connection to strengthen the organizations' and the region's competitiveness. A driving force is to strengthen the educational collaboration with actors from different sectors of society and systematize the working life connection in the MBA.
OLIKA is run by MiUNs Centre for Research on Economic Relations (CER), including a large network of organizations. Four of these organizations are connected at the start of the project, more will be added from the network's working groups during the project. OLIKA is implemented over 2.5 years and contains five working packages where the educational model and the in-depth collaboration activities are developed. The new MBA is the context in which the innovative educational model for AIL will be developed.
