Important and rewarding meetings with municipalities
In May 2025, the researchers met with the municipalities of Härnösand and Östersund to discuss the results and conclusions of the research, and its use and benefits in the municipality. With help from the reference group, we invited representatives of various administrations and municipal politicians.

Research to make older women's outdoor activities visible in the public space
In the spring of 2025, the last sub-study of the research project has gained momentum. It's about the phenomenon of Auntie parkour. The study aims to challenge and counteract ageism and gender stereotypes about older women and their participation in outdoor activities.

Opportunities for different sectors of society to promote nature experiences for older people
The study Active and Healthy Aging: the Role of Public, Private and Voluntary Sectors in Providing Outdoor Recreation for Older Adults shows that the public, private and voluntary sectors can contribute in different ways to promoting outdoor activities and outdoor recreation for older people.

Study on the importance of nature for migration
The study, entitled The importance of nature in older individuals' moving decisions, is being revised for future publication in the international journal Fennia. Emma Landby and Kristin Godtman Kling have investigated the importance of natural areas when choosing a home.

Age‑friendly community planning and the importance of information for inclusive nature experiences
In two book chapters in the forthcoming Handbook of Accessible Tourism, Sandra Wall-Reinius and several of the project's researchers summarize results from several sub-studies.

Great interest at scientific seminar at Kristianstad University
"Nature for everyone? Collaboration and knowledge in planning and management to promote accessible natural environments and outdoor activities" was the title of Rosemarie Ankre's presentation when she was invited by Kristianstad University on 21 May 2025.
