Preschool as a health‑promoting and attractive workplace
A salutogenic perspective in working life aims to create a balance between the individual's abilities and the demands made from the employer. We investigate how employees experience their own influence, good leaders and the promotion of employees' skills and professional care.
The purpose of the study is to investigate and analyse licensed preschool teachers' perceptions of the work environment in preschool from a salutogenic perspective. The target group for the feasibility study is licensed preschool teachers working in preschools.
In this way, this feasibility study can make a contribution within the call for Applications for project funding within the framework of the Mid Sweden University - Östersund Municipality 2024 collaboration agreement within two goals: 2. Östersund Municipality's operations and companies are conducted in a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable manner and 3. Östersund has an attractive and well-functioning labour market where the demand for labour is matched with a good supply of skills. Östersund municipality is a modern and attractive employer that attracts people from all parts of Sweden and the world.
The objectives of the feasibility study are as follows:
- Increase the understanding of licensed preschool teachers' perceptions of the work environment in preschool.
- Increase the knowledge of opportunities and challenges in the working environment in preschool.
- Highlight good examples of licensed preschool teachers' work in preschools to create a good work environment.
- Highlight good examples that contribute to a salutogenic perspective in preschool.
- Increase knowledge of the research field
This pilot study is an interview study. The purpose of the study is to investigate and analyse the perceptions of licensed preschool teachers about the work environment in preschool.
