PROWD – Professions for welfare development
PROWD's interdisciplinary research approach aims to address complex knowledge needs associated with the current and future welfare development. The network enables exciting collaborations and innovative research projects both theoretically, methodologically and operationally.

About the network
In the autumn of 2023, PROWD was granted a 1-year network grant from the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Human Sciences HUV at Mid Sweden University. The goal of the network is to identify and develop potentially interesting multidiciplinary research areas that include professional education at Mid Sweden University; nursing (HOV), pedagogy (UTV), psychology and social work (PSO).
The network is based on issues involving welfare sectors and institutional practices where nurses, teachers, psychologists and social workers are working and collaborate with each other. Being able to establish itself as a network with financial resources is a first important step in the work towards creating an interdisciplinary research platform.
