Surface chemistry
We study molecular self-aggregation and interactions at interfaces to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
We investigate microemulsions, with applications in resource-efficient wood impregnation, bio-based flocculants for wastewater remediation, which effectively remove pollutants with minimal environmental impact, and chelating surfactants, which combine surface activity with metal-binding properties for selective separation and recovery. By integrating fundamental research with applied chemistry, we strive to understand and control interfacial chemical processes for sustainable and efficient solutions.
