The University Library has launched a search tool that enables you to find journals that offer cost-free open access publishing due to our transformative agreements with various publishers. All journals covered by our agreements are included in the tool, which contains around 12,000 journals.

Researchers affiliated with Mid Sweden University can publish open access free of charge in journals from various publishers. This is made possible through national library agreements, meaning that the library will cover the APC costs (APC = article processing charge).
News 2024
New from January 2024 is that the governmental research funders will cover open access publishing fees with the following publishers:
- MJS Publishing
- PLOS
- Frontiers
Another news for this year is that the library's agreement with Sage also includes publications in the publisher's pure open access journals.
