Aim
The overall aim with the course is that the student shall give his or her view on his/her own artistic producing and motivate, explain and criticize its affect on the individual creative process.
Course objectives
Having completed the course, students are expected to be able to:
- create an individual artistic packaging project
- motivate and explain his/her own artistic producing
- possess the ability to plan and complete an independent creative process within a given time frame
- be able to use writing as a tool for both communication and reflection
- be able to stay critical to one’s own creative work
- be able to defend and explain the results of the independent, creative process in written and orally, individually and in a group
Content
The student completes an individual artistic packaging project.

Graphic Design MA: The Design Process, 7.5 Credits and History of Design and Style, 7.5 Credits.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
The teaching form is lectures, practical exercises and exposition.
Examination form
Individual written assignments as well as written, oral and practical examinations. Attendance is compulsory in the case of some lectures, exercises and supervision as well as in all seminars and expositions.

Grading system
Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.
Other information
Teaching, practical exercises and field trips may be planned for weekends and evenings. There may be study visits outside of Sundsvall.
Possible costs for excursions and material is paid by the student.
