Aim
The objectives of the course is that the student shall get an increased knowledge of scientific theories, methods and techniques relevant for the project, and to make the student's work a part of the contribution to the research and development area.
Course objectives
After passing the course the student shall be able to:
- plan the time to solve a delimited (larger) task in collaboration with the project team
- describe the research project and make a project plan
- learn about a specific task, define and motivate limitations
- solve the task, or parts of it, within the specified time
- in writing present and discuss methodology and solution in a project report
- follow up, reflect on, and evaluate the project implementation
Content
The course includes in-depth and project-specific elements that, in whole or in part, contains theories, models, experimental methods, tools and analytic
instruments. The content is defined as the scope and depth of the individual course planning that is planned together with the supervisor.

Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
Supervised theoretical, experimental or field-based research according to a work plan established in cooperation with the supervisor.

15.0 hp, R101: Written report
Grading: A, B, C, D, E, Fx och F. A-E is Pass, Fx and F is Fail.
0.0 hp, M101: Seminar

Grading system
Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.
