Academic Ceremony
At Mid Sweden University, the next Academic Ceremony will take place on 1-2 October in Sundsvall. On this occasion, there is a conferment ceremony for new doctors and honorary doctors, an installation ceremony for new professors and a ceremony for the conferment of awards and prizes.
Inauguration lectures with honorary doctors and professors
The day before the Academic Ceremony there are inauguration lectures, when new honorary doctors and professors share their knowledge and experience with the audience. The lectures are held at Campus Sundsvall in room C326 are open for the general public and are also broadcast live.
Conferment and installation ceremony and banquet
The Academic Ceremony includes three parts:
- a degree conferment ceremony for new and honorary doctors
- an installation ceremony for new professors
- conferment of awards and prizes for scientific and educational works.
The ceremony begins at 4 p.m. at Sundsvalls Stadshus and is open for all. The ceremony he ceremony will be broadcast live for those who are unable to attend in person. After the ceremony there is a banquet for invited guests.
