I have written the doctoral dissertation "Outdoor recreation conflicts in Swedish coastal landscapes from a planning and user perspective" within the field of spatial planning. As a geographer, my research is particularly focused on conflicts of interest regarding different sorts of land and water use in relation to outdoor recreation and nature based tourism. Thus, I have a particular interest in analyzing and understanding the processes of planning and management. For example, in order to better introduce outdoor recreation and tourism in spatial planning, it is important to be able to identify conflicts and how these can be handled in planning and management. One way is for example by zoning. I particularly think that the experiences of quietness and noise in nature are interesting to analyze from a conflict perspective. Accessibility is also an important issue, where both people's ability to practice outdoor recreation and access to green areas are of relevance. Finally, I am also interested in pedagogy and didactics of geography. I originally have a master's degree in geography.

Area of interest

- Planning and management
- Accessibility
- Outdoor recreation and nature tourism in coastal and mountain scenery
- Conflicts regarding land and water use
- Visitor attitudes
- Quiteness, noise and soundscapes in nature areas
- Zoning as a tool in planning and management

Teaching and tutoring

I am teaching human geography within the bachelor program Tourism and destination development, as well as various distance courses. I am also a teacher in geography within the the teacher programs years F-3 and years 4-6. I have extensive experience of supervising thesis (bachelor and advanced level) and being the coordinator of thesis courses. I teach in Miun's current teacher promotion courses (lärarlyft) in geography. In fall 2021, I am one of the geopgrahy teachers in our new bachelor program (which I have been involved in developing) Climate change - Policy and Societal Development.

In 2019, I was appointed as a pedagogically qualified teacher within Miun's pedagogical merit model
