Background

I have written the doctoral dissertation "Outdoor Recreation Conflicts in Swedish Coastal Landscapes from a Planning and User Perspective" (monography published in Swedish) within the field of spatial planning. As a geographer, my research focuses on conflicts of interest related to various types of land and water use in connection with outdoor recreation and nature-based tourism.

I am particularly interested in analyzing and understanding planning and management processes. For instance, to better integrate outdoor recreation and tourism into spatial planning, it is crucial to identify conflicts and explore strategies for addressing them. One such strategy is zoning.

I find the experiences of quietness and noise in nature especially interesting to analyze from a conflict perspective. Accessibility is another key issue, encompassing both people's ability to engage in outdoor recreation and their access to green spaces. Health and well-being in relation to nature and outdoor recreation is another area of research interest.

Another of my research focuses is geography didactics, with a particular interest in fieldwork and geographical methods. My academic background includes a master's degree in geography.
