Waste sorting at Campus Sundsvall

Wed 26 Oct 2022 16:13

We will soon be able to sort our waste at Campus Sundsvall. As an employee, you are responsible for sorting your waste properly, both in offices and in staff rooms. Source separating stations are ordered and will soon be available in all houses.

All employees must sort their own waste

This means that if you have a waste bin in your office, you should empty and sort the rubbish in our waste sorting stations that are at the lunchroom and in public places. The waste units contain different compartments for compost, plastic, metal, corrugated board and glass. On the units there are decals how it should be sorted. Paper is left in the paper recycling in the respective postal rooms. Both Åkroken and Åkanten have a source sorting room where you can leave, for example, lights and batteries.

Cleaning and Contracts

Campusservice works with services around our two campuses, including cleaning. It is not part of the cleaning staff’s assignment to sort your waste at source.

The frequency of cleaning according to current agreements:

  • All offices are cleaned once a week
  • Staff and public toilets are cleaned five times a week
  • Staff rooms are cleaned five times a week
  • Cleaning and window cleaning takes place once a year
  • Floor care takes place when needed

You can of course order extra cleaning at different times, if you have questions or if you wish to place such an order, you are welcome to contact Joakim Fröberg (Sundsvall) or Roland Persson (Östersund) at Campusservice.

Regarding cleaning, there is a standard level that applies to the entire university and quality checks are carried out based on INSTA 800.
