The fifth of October on the Östersund campus is a day packed with interesting lectures. From 11 a.m. until shortly after 3 p.m., six different lecturers will tell you more about their research and about themselves. First up is Marko Laaksonen, professor of sports science. He will tell you about how endurance training affects metabolism. Afterwards, Professor Jonas Harvard talks about the connection between the development of media technology and opinion formation.

After lunch, it is time for our four honorary doctors to tell more about themselves. Jaime Villa is professor emeritus at the University of Granada. He will talk about "a brief walk through the heart of fear and love". Next, it is Lena Runius Bernström who talks about the conversation process, a national method for patient-safe assessments.

Second to last is Hans Gennerud, who for many years has developed the Swedish communications industry. He will talk about "the importance of working together".
And last, but certainly not least, Björn Ferry, the Olympic medalist, expert commentator and entrepreneur will talk. He has long used his celebrity to drive environmental and climate issues, a true ambassador for sustainability and climate-smart lifestyle.

The lectures take place at the Östersund campus in room F229 and are open to everyone.
