Nilex, NSP, the administrator portal or case management system, dear child has many names. Last year, a major change process began with the system and now there are a number of improvements to present.

The case management system that Mid Sweden University works with is now called NSP and the Service Portal, which concerns all employees and students, is also connected to it. In October last year, IT coordinator Jennie Lindqvist started at miun.

"My main task right now is to drive all the changes and make sure they get done. Have contact with the supplier, yes simply be the spider in the web," she says, adding that she does not sit alone with the task, but that there is an administration team.

The first thing Jennie Lindqvist started with was to have individual meetings with the super users and hear what they wanted to improve with NSP. 120 improvement proposals were presented and some of those that have been pushed through are:

      · Personal signature is now available in NSP.

      · You can filter by the value "blank" in views.

      · Loop emails from noreply addresses can be stopped.

     · City can be added to views.

     · Only numbers in forms are allowed.

     · The cancellation function has been improved.

     · It is easier to find administrators in the system.

Several items are on the to-do list and some of the improvements started are  fixing performance problems, going through and improving the approval process, testing a new version, limiting unnecessary mailings, reviewing permissions and a customer survey.

Upcoming changes that can be expected from the users are that an ITIL process will be implemented and that the Service Portal will be easier to use.
