We will soon open the doors on our campuses for students and teachers at upper secondary schools and folk high schools. On the schedule is inspiration and information for further studies at universities and folk high schools.

On Wednesday 21 February, there is an Open House in Sundsvall and a week later, on 28 February, it is time for Östersund to open its doors. It is primarily students from years 2 and 3 of upper secondary school who come and on each campus about 1,000 students are registered.

"Open houses can encourage students in their current studies if they find their dream education. It is valuable to visit on site, they start to think about university studies and questions arise among students after the visit to Mid Sweden University, says Frida Henriksson, study and career counsellor at Jämtlands Gymnasium, JGY, Wargentin.

Questions such as how it works to study, what is required of you as a student, the structure of programmes and courses and entry requirements are common among upper secondary school students. And they will now have every opportunity to get answers to those questions.

"It feels extra fun that there are many of our programs, teachers and students who will be involved and visible in different ways. We hope that our Open House program will motivate the students who come to apply for education with us, says Maria Runering, event communicator.

Several student recruitment activities are currently underway. Already this week, Mid Sweden University is participating in the education and recruitment fair Nolia in both Östersund and Sundsvall. During the month of February, there is also an advertising campaign in our campus cities, a campaign that can be seen on the backs of the buses.
