How does it feel?

"It feels good. It has been fun to make this journey as a doctoral student and see the final product, which I hope can contribute to increased knowledge and understanding of leadership and digitalization. At the same time, it's also a bit melancholy because my PhD journey is now coming to an end.

Can you briefly describe your thesis?

The thesis explores the digitalization process in the school system by highlighting it from a leadership perspective. It emphasizes the role of leadership in promoting the implementation of digital technologies in the school environment, which includes both an administrative aspect where school leaders manage resource allocation and infrastructure changes, as well as an educational aspect where leadership aims to integrate digital technologies to improve teaching and learning.

Why did you choose to study this?

I have a great interest in digitalization, economics and pedagogy. For me, digitalization in education has a direct impact on society and can be seen as a way to contribute to changes and innovations in the education system. Therefore, I see digitalization in the school system as an important area for future development in education.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to continue researching, teaching and increasing collaboration, both nationally and internationally. Since I am from Brazil myself, I see an incredible number of opportunities to increase cooperation with the Brazilian universities.

What do you like to do when you're not working?

My top priority is to spend time with family and friends. I like to train both strength and conditioning, walk and play both card games and computer games.
