In collaboration with Corbett Preparatory School, Kristen Snyder and her colleagues are studying success factors for sustainable school development, and the results of the last four years of research are now being fed back to the school.
" You could say that it's a kind of cycle around knowledge development and school development. The workshop we held this time was a way for us to show appreciation and of its research collaboration and give back to the school in the form of skills development," she says.

A flagship in doctoral education

The collaboration began in 2019 and since then, Kristen Snyder and her colleagues have visited the school several times. Among other things, they collaborate in several research projects and there are also four industrial doctoral students who are taking a doctorate in quality management through the school's partnership with Mid Sweden University.
" This collaboration is a flagship for our doctoral education, we research and develop knowledge together. Our research projects have also resulted in several articles and book chapters. Timrå municipality is also inspired by this school and their way of working," says Kristen Snyder.

Appreciated workshop

On their most recent visit, she and Anna Mårtensson held a much-appreciated workshop for the staff. Among other things, the teachers had the opportunity to do an exercise that opened up a larger perspective on how the school offers an attractive school environment for both students, staff and parents.
" Based on our collective research, we started with two senior researchers and four doctoral students. As a result, the school has now integrated the work into its professional development, says Kristen Snyder.
