Multifactor authentication when logging in to Primula

Wed 15 May 2024 09:25

Multifactor authentication, MFA, is currently used by all employees to log in to certain services such as M365 (e.g. Outlook and Teams) from an external network. Due to an increased threat from the outside world and incidents that have occurred, an expansion of MFA to more services is required.

Primula is one of the services next in line. As of May 16, MFA will be required when logging in to Primula, which means that you as an employee need to approve the login using your mobile phone. The MFA session is valid for the entire workday as long as the browser is not shut down.

Previously, employees have been able to choose to authenticate themselves via SMS or the Microsoft Authenticator app. SMS is considered to be a more insecure method that Microsoft plans to phase out. Therefore, we recommend that you already now change your authentication method to Microsoft Authenticator. Remember that you are personally responsible for the activities carried out through your login details.
