Collaboration money for meetings between students and employers
As a student or employee at Campus Östersund, you can apply for Samverkanspeng, a grant that supports activities aimed at strengthening the connection between students and employers. The collaboration grant is funded by Östersund Municipality and Mid Sweden University.
Do you have an idea and need funding?
If you're a student or employee at Mid Sweden University's Östersund campus and have an idea for an activity that brings students and employers closer together, you can apply for Samverkanspeng (Collaboration Grant).
The purpose of this grant is to support initiatives that promote interaction between students and employers. The total fund available is SEK 100,000 per year for both 2025 and 2026.
What can the funding cover?
- Venue rental
- Guest speakers or lecturers
- Travel expenses
- Refreshments
- Participation fees for conferences where you meet industry representatives
In addition to financial support, you are also offered:
- Guidance and advice from Östersund municipality
- Communication support and event planning support from Mid Sweden University
Goals of the collaboration grant
Through this initiative, we aim to:
- Increase opportunities for students and employers to meet
- Strengthen the relevance of Mid Sweden University’s programmes through closer ties to working life
- Showcase potential regional employers to students
- Engage more employers, including those without a natural link to the university, to connect with students and tap into their skills
- Encourage more students to stay and work in Jämtland Härjedalen after graduation
Criteria for receiving Samverkanspeng
To qualify for funding, your activity must:
- Align with the goals listed above
- Take place in Jämtland or Härjedalen
- Be socially, economically and environmentally sustainable
- Be open to all current students
- Preferably be innovative and creative
Follow-up and communication
To help us share success stories and inspire others to apply, you’ll be asked to submit a short report after your activity. This should include:
- Images (landscape format)
- A brief text describing the activity and what worked well
Funding decision and notification
Funding decisions are made jointly by representatives from Mid Sweden University and Östersund Municipality.
You will be notified within 30 days of your application if your project has been approved for funding.
