International Student Recruitment
This is how we work with international student recruitment of programme students. The work is done in close collaboration with the faculties, staff at the IRO (International Office) and staff at the KOM (Communications Office).
International student recruitment of programme students
Web pages miun.se:
- Updating the start page of the web during the application periods
- Continued work on developing the programme pages and the education page at miun.se
- Free text words at universityadmissions (search enginee improvements)
Other activities
- Advertising on Instagram and TikTok during the application period, early application round 15 October - 15 January
- Advertising on Instagram and TikTok during the application period, application round 17 March - 15 April
- Our student ambassadors produce Reels about student life at Mid Sweden University for Instagram within the framework of Study in Sweden's University Series, where we get to appear in their social channels on two occasions during the spring, and two occasions in the autumn. These Reels are also published in our Instagram feed and sponsored towards the target group
- We sponsor posts that are indirectly student recruiting and that are about student life, the research of the programs or about opportunities for students
- We advise Swedish students that they can apply for our international programs (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Newsletters, emails and webinars (both general and program-specific) are sent out regularly throughout the year
- National cooperation and external monitoring via the network NIMK, the Network for International Marketing and Communication
Online recruitment fairs in collaboration with the Swedish Institute:
- Europe, may and 18 September 15:00 – 18:00 (CEST)
- Indian subcontinent 13 October 12:00 – 15:00 (CEST)
- Asia 13 November 10:00 – 13:00 (CET)

Webinars:
- December, webinar where applicants and interested parties (leeds from participation in the digital fairs) is invited to hear about studies at the university. The webinar is conducted by IRO and a student ambassador. We offered Break-out rooms with participants from our programs who tells more about each program.
- April, admitted students are invited to hear about what happens now after they have been admitted. The webinar is conducted by IRO and a student ambassador.
- June, admitted students are invited to hear about what happens now after they have been admitted and paid tuition fees. The webinar is conducted by IRO and a student ambassador. We offer Break-out rooms with participants from our programs who tell more about each program and say hi! to the new admitted students.

September - may: working with differen digital emailetters towards the target groups that has shown interest in our programmes, applicants, participants at fairs etc. to keep up the interest for studies at Mid Sweden university.
