The beginner’s course
This course is intended to support you in your language development. Sign up today – the next course begins in spring 2026!
The goal is to be able to participate in everyday conversations and to be able to assimilate information in society and at Mid Sweden University.
The course is conducted with two campus meetings a week, two hours each, and takes place during the term time. The course starts in week 4.
- Sundsvall: Mondays at 13-15 and Fridays at 10-12
- Östersund: Mondays at 10-12 PM and Thursdays at 13-15
Learning outcomes
Through this course, participants learn:
- Pronunciation of individual sounds and language melody in the Swedish language
- Basic Swedish grammar
- To read short Swedish texts
- Develop and master an active vocabulary
- Understanding of Swedish culture and society
The first meeting is Monday 19 January 2026 at 13-15, campus Sundsvall or at 10-12, campus Östersund.
