Social work students: Apply for an Erasmus+ course in trauma‑sensitive media work in Germany
Social work students now have the opportunity to participate in an international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program course on trauma-sensitive media work. The course will be held in Mainz in April 2026 and brings together journalism and social work students from four countries.
The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive programme Trauma-Sensitive Media Work is aimed at social work students who want to deepen their understanding of how journalism and social work can be met in the work with global social problems. The course will take place on 7–11 April 2026 at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz, Germany.
Ten places - Erasmus scholarship included
A total of ten places are offered to social work students who will participate in an international workshop together with about 50 students in social work and journalism from universities in Sweden, Germany, Ireland and Austria. The course gives 4 credits and includes lectures, expert elements and practical work with a focus on trauma-sensitive perspectives in media work.
During the course, participants will explore how different professions and countries work with trauma-sensitive communication and collaborate internationally by producing their own podcast on global social issues. Erasmus scholarship is included.
The application must be submitted by 12 January 2026.
