A warm welcome to the course Business Administration MA, Quantitative and Qualitative Method and as a student at Mid Sweden University.
My name is Ulrika Sjödin and I am the head of the course. Lars-Anders Byberg is the other teacher on this course.
In today’s complex digital societies, it is crucial to have knowledge of scientific methods in order to scrutinize published claims and data. Even in a managerial role, it is important to be able to evaluate the various types of reports and methods used by consultants and others. In short, knowledge of scientific methods constitutes an important part of the skillset of any educated person.

The course starts Mon 31-08-26 in Sundsvall, in hall C015. Students in Östersund can participate via Zoom. This introduction has a mandatory prescence.

Education information

The course begins with 6 lectures and a individually written assignment and continues with a computer laboration and a seminar. In the seminar, you present your own assignment and critique two others'. Finally you write an exam.

Before you can begin your studies, there are three things you need to do
1. Create a student account
As a new student, you need to create a student account to get access to the university´s e-services, such as Ladok, where you can register for courses and examinations, see your study results, and access the University Library´s e-services, as well as the learning platform Canvas.
