Digital degree certificates

On 17 April, Mid Sweden University will start issuing degree certificates digitally instead of today's degree certificates on paper.
The change is a step in a larger national transition to digitalisation that affects all Swedish higher education institutions.
April 9 is the last day to apply for a degree in order to receive a transcript in paper form. After that, our degree function for applying for degree certificates will close. This is to have time to deliver incoming cases by post. On 17 April, the application for digital degree certificates will open again.
What does this mean for you as a student?
- As a student, you apply as usual online via Ladok
- You will receive an email when the degree certificate has been issued
- You can log in and download the degree certificate as a PDF format and then print it out
- The degree certificate can also be verified digitally via Ladok.
- It is also possible to "share" the degree certificate in Ladok to a potential employer
- The degree certificates also apply to doctoral degrees
- Previous degree certificates issued on paper will not be replaced by digital versions
- If you don't have an active student account, you can log in to Ladok as an alumnus via BankID
