Are your studies feeling troublesome?
It's not uncommon for students to experience difficulties during their academic journey. There can be various reasons why studying might feel burdensome, such as stress from falling behind in your studies, previous experiences of mental health issues, or challenging relationships with other students.
You can receive support from a trained mentor.
There can be many different factors contributing to you feeling pressured and making your studies challenging to manage. Both a temporary and a more long-lasting experience of not feeling well in your academic situation can affect your academic performance.
If you encounter obstacles in your academic situation, we at Mid Sweden University can offer additional support to you as a student or doctoral student. You can receive support through Supported Education (SEd) in finding tools to help you complete your studies. Supported Education is tangible support for students with temporary or lasting mental health issues. The purpose of this support is to enable you to pursue your education according to your own abilities and have a reasonably good experience during your time as a student. No diagnosis is required to receive this support.
The support is offered after an agreement with the SEd coordinator and is then tailored to your needs in dialogue with an SEd mentor. The number of students who can receive support simultaneously is limited. If there is no immediate availability, you may be placed on a waiting list. The support can be provided both remotely and through in-person meetings.
If you want to learn more, please get in touch with SEd coordinator Maria Warne, who will connect you with one of our mentors.
