Affinity
As a student, you can install Affinity on your personal computer. Before installing the software within Affinity, you need to contact your teacher.
The Affinity package includes the following software: Designer, Photo and Publisher. The software is available for both Mac and PC and is valid for one year.

Azure for Students
(formerly Azure Dev Tools for Teaching/Microsoft Imagine/Dreamspark)
The Infrastructure Division has signed an agreement with Microsoft on behalf of Mid Sweden University for the whole of Mid Sweden University. In short, this means that all students and teaching staff at Mid Sweden University will have access to Microsoft's development platform for education and research needs, such as operating systems from Windows. The Office suite is not available for download. One of the prerequisites is that they are used for testing purposes or for non-commercial use.
You can only install the program on one computer and only have access to Azure for Students while you are an active student or have an employment at the university. You have the right to use the installed programs even after completing your studies, but cannot download or request new license keys.
The download service is completely outside Mid Sweden University, so the Infrastructure Division and IT Support cannot provide any support for the technical solution.
To access the portal:
Go to Azure for Students to sign in.
ClickStart using for free
Then fill in your details.
Use your university email address to register and renew each year you are a student.
Students log in their login details for the Student Web.

Mathworks Matlab
As a student at Mid Sweden University, you have the opportunity to install Matlab on your private computer. You will need an account with Mathworks to download the software and to activate the license key.

MIUN Survey
MIUN Survey is Mid Sweden University's survey tool for creating, distributing and analyzing surveys. It provides students and staff with an easy way to collect data, ensure quality, and support research, education, and business development.
You log in to MIUN Survey by surfing to https://survey.miun.se/Admin
Login is via Single Sign-On (SSO) and two-factor authentication:
- At the first login, a QR code will appear in MIUN Survey.
- Scan the code with your Authenticator app (e.g. Microsoft or Google Authenticator).
- Enter the one-time code that the app generates in the "Code" field.
After that, you will be required to enter a new one-time code each time you log in.
Rhino

SPSS Statistics
As a student at Mid Sweden University, you have the opportunity to install the SPSS software on your private computer. This requires you to have a PC or a Mac. To get access to the program, please send a case to IT Support. SPSS is also installed in some computer rooms at the Campus Locations.
Tortalk speech synthesis - read with your ears
TorTalk is available for download to PC and Mac computers and can read all kinds of texts; e-books, articles, PDFs and scanned text. Select text on the screen and have it read aloud.
You can choose from around 60 different voices and 20 different languages in the speech synthesis.
