Nätverket för kritiska kulturarvs- och museistudier present a seminar with Lais Barbudo Carrasco, Senior Lecturer in Archives and Information Science at Mid Sweden University.

Indigenous data governance in Sápmi concerns the management, access, and use of data related to Sámi people, communities, culture, knowledge, and lands. The Sámi Ownership and Data Access (SODA) principles present a Sámi perspective on data governance, emphasizing issues of ownership, access, authority, and self-determination.

SODA can be considered alongside frameworks such as FAIR and CARE, while highlighting questions related to the governance of Sámi data. These include how decisions about data access and reuse are made, who is involved in those decisions, and how researchers, archives, cultural heritage institutions, and other organizations can engage with Sámi data in ethically and culturally informed ways.
