Bakgrund
Jag är migrationsforskare och socialantropolog med specialisering inom kvinnliga migration, transnationalism och feminism. Jag har disputerat med fokus på sociala identiteter och livsbanor hos ukrainska kvinnliga arbetskraftsinvandrare i Italien. Därefter har jag arbetat både som forskare och projektledare i flera internationella projekt med inriktning på transnationell migration, inklusive inom Horizon 2020.
Efter Rysslands fullskaliga invasion av Ukraina 2022 genomförde jag fältarbete i Sverige, Polen, Rumänien och Skottland, där jag intervjuade omkring 150 ukrainska flyktingar, beslutsfattare och representanter för civilsamhällesorganisationer.
Min forskning har publicerats i vetenskapliga tidskrifter såsom Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Journal of Borderland Studies och Asian and Pacific Migration Journal.
Utöver min akademiska karriär är jag även professionell journalist med över tio års erfarenhet av arbete för både ukrainska och internationella medier. För närvarande driver jag en forskningsblogg på Ukraina Moderna och deltar i olika publika evenemang för att presentera och diskutera min forskning.
Mellan 2020 och 2023 var jag även verksam som svensk tjänsteman.
