Övrigt
I specialize in environmental analytical chemistry with a focus on the occurrence, fate, and behavior of trace organic pollutants—particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), pharmaceuticals, and other micropollutants—in the aquatic environment. My expertise includes developing and validating advanced LC-MS and GC-MS methods for trace-level analysis in complex matrices such as water, wastewater, and sediments. I also work with non-target and suspect screening using open-source tools, and contribute to understanding contaminant transport and transformation processes across the water cycle. I am especially interested in linking chemical analysis with environmental processes and regulatory challenges.
Current Project
I am currently working within the Circular Biomass 3.0 project, where I develop and apply advanced analytical techniques—including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS/AES—to investigate the occurrence and fate of organic and inorganic environmental pollutants. The aim is to support sustainable production systems for food, feed, and energy by ensuring contaminant safety and environmental compatibility in biomass-based processes.
