On April 27 2017 we officially opened our materials and innovation laboratory MILAB at Mid Sweden University. MILAB is a laboratory for advanced material characterization, open and available for students, researchers and companies in the region.

The laboratory is part of the research project KM2 Innovative green energy. We have 25 partner companies and the instrument park is for example upgraded with an advanced scanning electron microscope. SCA Forest Products and Akzo Nobel are co-funding the laboratory. Approx. 70 persons from partner companies, funders and Mid Sweden University joined the day. There were an official opening with vice chancellor Anders Fällström and governor Gunnar Holmgren and also the partner organizations Sundsvalls kommun, SCA, Akzo Nobel and MoRe Research on the stage and afterwards guidad tour in the laboratories for FSCN.
