Conditions for student health teams’ work with pupils in need of special support

We are going to study schools’ student health teams’ conditions for working with students in need of special support. The study focuses the schools’ prerequisites to develop their work based on pupils’ different pre-conditions, life situations and the specific school environment.

This is a project in collaboration with Sundsvall municipality. By examining the conditions for schools’ work with pupils in need of special support, the study is expected to lead to identifying obstacles, opportunities and boundaries in terms of competences and responsibilities within the framework of the school’s student health team.

Examining the conditions for schools’ work with pupils in need of special support is expected to contribute to highlighting the complexity of pupils’ conditions, life situation and school environment. The study is also expected to contribute with increased understanding of interprofessional collaboration and the organizational conditions that exist within the framework of the school to work with pupils in need of special support.

The project is part of the program Future Welfare: Healthcare and Education.
