Course literature as talking books
At the University Library, we assist students who need their course literature converted into talking books through an account in the Legimus database. As a teacher or supervisor, you can refer your students to the library for questions about talking books.
Students with disabilities have the opportunity to access talking books through the Legimus database. To access this service, the student first contacts the library for a talk book interview. During the interview, we discuss the student's needs and whether they meet the requirements for obtaining a Legimus account. More detailed information about which students are eligible for this service and how to proceed is available on the library's web pages on talking books.
Tor Talk text-to speech
The TorTalk text-to-speech synthesis is offered to all students studying at Mid Sweden University. TorTalk is available for download on both PC and Mac and reads all text on a computer screen, such as articles, PDFs, e-books etc. University staff can contact IT support to access Tor Talk.
