No, you are not allowed to eat food in the library. There are several reasons for this. We don't want the smell of food in the library or the smell of leftovers in our trash bins. We want to avoid messes and spills on our furniture and books. We also don't want the sharp sound of utensils on porcelain/glass in the library. And lastly, when you eat, the volume of your voice easily rises, creating more noise and disturbance.

This also applies to the library's group rooms. We don't want the smell of food or messes in them either.

However, there are other places on campus where you can eat, including a student kitchen in G1327 in Östersund and one on the first floor of the N-building in Sundsvall, where there are microwaves and tables to sit at.
