Human Geography BA (A), Economic Geography - From Local to Global Perspectives, 7.5 hp

This introductory course focuses mainly on matters relating to the study area of economic geography. Specifically, it introduces students to geographical theories, concepts and methods relating to the world’s economy as well as aspects revolving around local and regional economic development. Among others, the course explains the key reasons behind uneven development while discussing various approaches for overcoming key challenges in both urban and rural regions.
