In the light of ongoing climate change, we need to strengthen forestry in the region so that raw material supply is not threatened by increasing forest damage. Mid Sweden University now receives SEK 6 million from the EU Structural Fund for research on forest injuries and the project has a total budget of SEK 13 million.

The funding goes to our researchers Bengt-Gunnar Jonsson and Erik Hedenström. Read more in the press release in Swedish.
