Research

I am a professor in Environmental science with a PhD in Analytical chemistry. My research is related to pollution of air, water and soil as well as pollution prevention and ecosystem restoration. I have been working with the development of new analytical methodology to meet the challenges associated with a better understanding of atmospheric dispersion, transport and transformation of pollutants. My current research focusses on sustainability issues related to remediation of polluted soil, water and sediment. I am doing research related to sustainable management of water resources in mountain areas. Me and my colleagues are developing cutting-edge technology for airborne monitoring of water quality in remote regions including tracking of sources of fecal pollution using molecular methods.
