Trust management, or trust-based governance, is sometimes described as a reform shift in the governance and management of activities in the public sector. A shift that is expected to solve problems with the quality of welfare services and working conditions for welfare professions.

"However, there are few empirical studies on this governance and it is not entirely clear what such governance entails or what consequences such control entails," says Malin Bolin, senior lecturer in sociology at Mitt

The workshop, which was arranged together with the Forum for Working Life Research in Sweden (FALF), took place at Frösö Park and was intended to bring together researchers who have worked on projects related to trust management to discuss the concept, highlight ongoing research and discuss what research would be desirable to conduct.

"The reform work has taken place in different ways in Sweden and Norway, but based on the same problem. We were visited by researchers from Mid Sweden University, Dalarna University, the Institute of Stress Medicine in Gothenburg, the University of Gothenburg and Nord University in Bodø, Norway.  It was rewarding days with interesting conversations about trust management, how it should be understood and researched, and what differences and similarities there are between different countries. says Malin Bolin, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Mid Sweden University and continues:

- A new meeting is planned next year for continued dialogue and comparison between countries.
