Digital degree certificates

The change is a step in a larger national transition to digitalisation that affects all Swedish higher education institutions. The transition provides both faster processing for our students and environmental benefits with reduced transport and paper printouts.

So how do the students do it?

• As usual, students apply online via Ladok.
• They will receive an email when the degree certificate has been issued.
• They can then download their proof as PDF format.
• The degree certificate can also be verified digitally via Ladok
• It is also possible to "share" the degree certificate in Ladok to a potential employer
• The degree certificates also apply to doctoral degrees
• Previous degree certificates issued on paper will not be replaced by digital versions
• If the student does not have an active student account, they can log in to Ladok as an alumnus via BankID

The higher education institutions that have already switched to digital management have reported that it has worked excellently, both for the students and for the administrators.
