What does "qualifying" mean?
The module of qualifying courses follow the national recommendation for qualifying teaching education in teaching and learning in higher education formulated by The Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions (SUHF). According to this recommendation, the scope must be 10 weeks of full-time studies, corresponding to 15 course credits at the advanced level, and all Swedish higher education institutions must have the same learning objectives for the education. Whether you need to meet these objectives or whether the equivalent of ten weeks of full-time studies is enough depends on what you will use your education for. If you are unsure about what applies to you, please contact the council or board that will deal with your possible application.
Application
The courses are free of charge and target employees with teaching duties at Mid Sweden University. Entry requirements are a higher education exam.
Application forms will be available from Tuesday week 9 for courses starting in the fall, and from Tuesday week 40 for courses starting in the spring. Course registration normally closes one month before the start of the course. You will find the application forms on the course web sites (click the links above). Each course is applied for separately. By applying, you confirm that your application is approved by your head of department.
