Tuesday 19th September – Welcome Reception
Guests are warmly invited to our Welcome Reception at the regional museum of Jamtli. It is here that we, together with the city of Östersund, will welcome you with a skål to our home and to Jämtland.
Inspired by our love for the great outdoors, following a welcome from the city mayor, guests will be welcome to test local delicacies in our outdoor food-court, which has stunning views over Lake Storsjön and the island of Frösön. If the fire pits do not keep you warm, the historic timber-framed Brunfloflogen is open to guests.
While traditional live music will be played, Jamtli’s talented actor-guides will answer any questions you have about our region and its rich cultural heritage. For those wishing to explore, the open-air museum will be open throughout the evening for you to wander around.
How to get there
Jamtli Museum is located at 2 Musieplan, Östersund – 20 minutes’ walk from the university or 10 minutes from the town centre. Many buses also stop in front of the museum.
