Children and Youth Center in Västernorrland

Children and Youth Center (BUE) is available for all children and young people throughout the county with mild to moderate mental health problems that can manifest itself in depression, anxiety, worry, sadness, stress, or sleep problems. Until now, these children and young people have often turned to Child and Youth Psychiatry (BUP) for help, but now the idea is that some of them should be able to come to BUE instead. It has long been known that children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems are at risk of ending up in the middle of nowhere. They have too "easy" health problems for BUP and too "difficult" for primary care.

BUE is open for the entire county and great focus will be placed on digital and groups and lectures to offer inputs to many.

Currently, it is parents who seeks support and help from BUE and BUE works intensively with help and support for parents and children. The reserach project will focus on parents' experiences of treatment, quality of care and value. The parents will participate by digital questionnaires and individual interviews.
