Elektrovation ‑ Innovative technology for the electrical energy systems of the future
Elektrovation is a research and collaboration project aimed at strengthening innovation capacity and increasing electrification in Västernorrland.
The project brings together municipal energy companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), academia, and public actors to meet the region's need for sustainable solutions in urban planning, industry, transportation, and renewable energy.
Industrial research is being used to test new technologies and business models in municipal energy companies in order to meet future challenges. This creates better conditions for SMEs to strengthen their innovative capacity through cost-effective, accessible, reliable, and sustainable electricity supply, which contributes to regional growth and green transition.
An important enabler is the EU, whose funding helps to make the project possible and strengthens the region's ability to meet future energy challenges. The focus is on power shortages, energy storage, flexible electricity grids, and energy-efficient processes. The project strengthens the ability of energy companies, municipalities, and SMEs to meet future energy needs and creates new business opportunities in line with Agenda 2030 and the objectives of the call for proposals.
