Sick leave in Sollefteå and Ånge municipalities: A study to develop evidence‑based solutions for better health and a sustainable future

This project examines the causes of sick leave and return-to-work processes in Ånge and Sollefteå. Using surveys, interviews, and health economic analyses, it aims to develop evidence-based strategies to reduce sickness absence, improve workplace health, and support sustainable working lives.

The project focuses on sick leave in the municipalities of Ånge and Sollefteå and aims to understand the causes of physical and mental health-related absence from work.

Using surveys, interviews, and health economic analyses, the study will examine risk factors, workplace conditions, and return-to-work processes. It will also assess the societal and economic consequences of sick leave and identify effective preventive measures.

The overall goal is to develop an evidence-based model to reduce sickness absence, improve public health, and promote sustainable workplaces in the municipalities and to save tax money.
