About Europe Day
Europe Day, 9 May, marks the anniversary of the historic Schuman Declaration, when French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman proposed a new form of political cooperation in Europe that would make a new war unthinkable. Robert Schuman’s proposal is today seen as the starting point for the EU. Europe Day has become a symbol of cohesion in the EU, in the same way as the euro, the EU flag and the European anthem.
Students and exchange studies
Mid Sweden University also invites students to talk about internships and exchange studies in Europe on 11 and 18 May. Read more about different possibilities and events.
