WAYA ‑ a qualitative study that investigates how young people affected by cancer experience that time in nature affects their health and wellbeing
In the last decades, there has been an increased interest in interacting with nature as an health promotion strategy. In the WAYA program, we have systematically developed and intervention so support the development of health and wellbeing among you people affected by cancer www.miun.se/waya2
Contribute to cancer research at Mid Sweden University?
Are you an ambitious student that would like to contribute to our research about nature and its effect on health and wellbeing among you people affected by cancer?
There is an opportunity for 1-2 students to use qualitative data from our WAYA-2 study for analysis as part of their magister/master thesis (Spring 2026).
Data has been generated using the method Photovoice and includes focus group discussions along with related photos and photo captures.

We are looking for highly motivated students that are willing to write their thesis in english, and that have an inteterest to also contribute as co-authors in future scientific publications.
