Kriminologi AV, Kriminalitet och brottsprevention, 30 hp

This course aims to deepen postgraduate students' knowledge of criminology by exploring contemporary and relevant issues in criminality and crime prevention. Using a range of different theoretical and applied perspectives at the structural and individual levels, the objective of this course is to equip students with a critical understanding of current criminological issues relevant to criminal policy, justice and societal debates on criminality. The course will focus on criminological problems using critical and applied frameworks, exploring four subject areas: life-course criminology, crime prevention, media and crime and structural-level violence. The course will be taught in English, and all modules will be framed by national and international perspectives.

Avlagd kandidatexamen om minst 180 hp i samhälls- eller beteendevetenskap varav minst 60 hp i kriminologi. Engelska nivå 2/Engelska 6 från svenskt gymnasium eller motsvarande.
