About the webinar
We warmly welcome you to the final webinar of the MERSE Project! We will share important lessons learned from the project. Lessons learned on how to make it easier for social entrepreneurship in rural areas through cross-border collaborations in the five NPA regions participating in the project.
- In the webinar we will showcase results from three-year cooperation between five regions in Iceland, Ireland, Finland, Norway and Sweden on how to make it easier to start and develop social enterprises in rural Europe.
- We will demonstrate models, methods and tools that can be used by both social enterprises and local entrepreneurship support functions to facilitate the start-up and development of social enterprises in rural areas.
- We will also demonstrate examples of business models for social enterprises.
- And, we will present best practice examples of how municipality-community cooperation can be designed for mutual social value creation.
- We will provide policy recommendations to encourage municipalities to include social enterprises in their strategies and action plans to legitimize the important role that social entrepreneurs play in enabling the living conditions in rural communities.
Come and be inspired by social entrepreneurs, business support organizations, decision-makers and researchers who will share knowledge and experiences from cross-border on how to make it easier to start and run rural social enterprises.
Warm welcome!
