Quality in preschools
The aim of the project is to develop methods and ways of working to create consensus on what quality in preschool is and to develop the skills of preschool principals to work with systematic quality work. The project is carried out in collaboration with Östersund Municipality.
Östersund Municipality wants to develop the preschools in the municipality by creating attractive workplaces with a developing and learning environment for both staff and children. To create this, Östersund Municipality and the subject Quality Technology at Mid Sweden University, will develop methods and working methods aiming at developing the principal´s ability to work systematically with quality.
Purpose
The aim of the project is to develop methods and ways of working to create consensus on what quality in preschool is and to develop the ability of preschool principals to work with systematic quality work together with employees, guardians, and children and in collaboration with the principal. The project is based on gradually changing behaviors of how staff in preschools and principals work systematically with quality development.
Goal
The goal is to create conditions for Östersund municipality’s preschools to be Sweden’s best preschools by ensuring the quality and equality of the activities based on school law, curriculum and other school regulations.
