Bakgrund

Doktorerade på polär ordning i vätskekristallina polymerer för icke-linjär optik (t.ex. frekvensfördubbling) (KTH, Stockholm). Har därefter studerat bl.a. molekylrörelser i ytviskoelastiska (1-100 Hz) vätskor som förklaringsmodell till skumbildning (Max-Planck-Institut, Potsdam), förändringar i molekylär struktur hos collagen-1 som möjlig cancerdiagnos (NTNU, Trondheim) och ytfunktionalisering och vätskeabsorption vid tryckning av färg och elektronik på papper (Digital Printing Centre, Örnsköldsvik).

Forskning

Studier av nanomaterial, funktionella material och ytor med tillämpningar mot energiomvandling (nanogeneratorer) och energilagring (batterier).
