Oskar Englund

Universitetslektor|Senior Lecturer

Oskar Englund forskar på strategier för, och implikationer av, samhällets omställning från en fossil till en biobaserad ekonomi. Forskningen omfattar markanvändning och energisystem, från lokal till global nivå, med ett speciellt fokus på produktion av biomassa för mat, fiber, andra biomaterial samt energi. Forskningen syftar primärt till att identifiera hållbara markanvändningsstrategier som hanterar avvägningar mellan olika intressen och mål, rörande t.ex., klimatförändringar och andra miljöaspekter, energisäkerhet och matsäkerhet.

Oskar är ämnesföreträdare för Miljövetenskap och Miljöteknik och sitter i NMT:s Fakultetsnämnd. Han är även studierektor för forskarutbildningen vid institutionen.

Bakgrund

Oskar Englund är docent i miljöteknik vid MIUN och teknologie doktor i energi och miljö från Chalmers tekniska högskola. I grunden är han civilingenjör i Automation och mekatronik, inriktad mot industriell ekologi. Oskar har tidigare varit verksam vid avd. för Fysisk resursteori på Chalmers, som projektkoordinator, doktorand och sedermera postdoktoral forskare. Han har även gästforskat vid Göteborgs universitet, Lunds tekniska högskola och Europakommissionens forskningscentrum i Ispra, Italien.
