What is really “demand” and why do I need to know it as a student?
(think about the future!)
Demand is everywhere, and those that understand demand and are directed towards it are those that will be able to live on their science. Demand can be different things, most of the time it consists of citizens or companies in society that need something that you can do for them, and sometimes it is about being so good at what you do that a “white paper” can take you to new heights. The first one is a more safe way though, you can hardly ever fail if you keep on serving demand.
That makes you demand driven, and that can be very exciting. Development, for example, within tech and life science runs faster than a fighter yet and demand is huge. You go to bed and think that you are the first one inventing the product, and when you wake up there is competition already! This is why it is so important to keep track of end users and what is going on in the world around you. Not today only – but always, every day!
